Royal Wedding (:

Yes, I did wake up at four.

Yes, I made it through the entire day of school! (And until 1 am last night!)

Yes, it was everything I hoped my first Royal Wedding would be!! (:

I love happiness and romance and love and all that mushy-gushy stuff. (: its such a nice break from all the death, destruction, and economic issues of the world. Yeah, some people are going to bash it and say Britan should have spent the money on more important things. I say there is no more important thing then happiness and the celebration of love (especially in the royal family). Because of all the bad things in the world, maybe this was the best time to have it. Everyone needs something to look forward to... and I don't mean just the wedding itself. Those two are going to make the monarchy cool again and they will do amzing things for Britian and the rest of the world... to me... that's something to get excited about and  look forward to. <3

Speaking of the future, we had our potential valedictorian meeting yesterday. Its all becoming way too real... way too fast. There are only three of us, so for the first time in years... there will only be one person speaking at a time...

Hell. Yes. :D

I don't like speaking with others because I don't always know what they are thinking or what may come out of their mouths.... I barely even trust myself. I could barely contain myself when Wolgast (yes, Wolgast) was telling us this... and even better, when we were choosing either the past, present and future topics. I chose future... which means I. Go. Last!!!!

Had there only been two of us, I would have been the Valedictorian and they the S-word-I-never-learned. But I am perfectly ok with being co-valedictorians with two others. Especially two others that I like. (:

Yesterday evening, Katie and I took a drive into Wichita after Erynn's softball game for some Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt... we both needed it :) It had been a long day for both of us and we just sat there and chilled and talked about the wedding and the end of school and when we got back to her house, we sat in her driveway and chatted about everything else. It was some much needed girl time (: love you katie <3

Then after, James and I went on a walk which was good because we got to talk and he told me funny stories about people… but I think I got sick from it. When I got back to his house, I started breathing my you-have-allergies way...not good. So, I came home and called it a night... which was good...cuz it was pushing 24 long hours since I was asleep... for a bite-sized three hours. The night before I got 4 hours...

Yes, I will make a great doctor someday because I obviously don't need sleep.

Don't worry! I slept until 1 today feeling sick and worn out...so that means its a Glee and paperwork day!!! (:

Three more weeks (:

Don't Stop Believin', Mulvane High

The most amazing this happened to me today!!

I can't even describe how happy I was all day!!

Ok, I'll start from the beginning (:

So, last night I fell asleep around eight, right after Glee, which is highly unusual for me to take naps (no matter how much as I want to). I woke up this morning feeling angry that I got nothing done, and like something a truck just ran over. I somehow made it to school on time and read the announcements like always.

But when I got to Mrs. Webb's room... something strange happened. The whole staff was wearing identical t-shirts (which isn't odd; our staff loves to wear Mulvane shirts) that said Don't Stop Believin' on the back... and for about 90 seconds.. something was nagging at my previous days memories... and suddenly, I remembered what it was.

Mrs Milledge (my calc teacher): "Tomorrow after the talent show, the administration and staff have an announcement to make."

I put 2 and 2 together faster then I believe I ever have at 9 am.

THE STAFF WAS GOING TO DANCE TO GLEE!

I just knew it. I had no proof, no staff slips, nothing. It's very difficult to keep secrets at Mulvane High, so I thought if something was going on, someone would have said something. But I was so sure that I was right. I told Nicole who also thought if something was going to happen, someone would have let it slip. So, I went throughout the day praying I was right because I needed something to lift my spirits (plus it was GLEE!!). I also debated about going to the talent show or going and working for an hour and a half. After my hopeful epiphany in English, however, that didn't look likely. So, at one-thirty, Nicole, Katie, Brandon, Kelsey and I sat in a row waiting to see if I was right....

At 2:15... I got my answer.

It was incredible. I cried from sheer happiness and excitement and it was exactly what I needed to get me through the next week. I have always loved Mulvane High and its staff... but this defiantly made me love them more.  The dude at the end was our superintendent with our mascot. Katie, Nicole and I (and the entire auditorium) (but especially Nicole) were SCREAMING the entire time so there is a lot of noise over the music. Click here to hear the Glee version of Don't Stop Believin’ better. My video is on Youtube and Facebook as well if this is not easy to watch.

Thank you MHS staff, and thank you Ohio State for giving them the idea :)

"Next Chapter."

Have you ever gotten those stress pains that feel like you are having a gall bladder attack? While I have not  yet experienced the gall bladder issues half of my family has experienced, including the removal, I have been getting so stressed out its starting to physically hurt. Here's why...

Tonight: Math Homework, study for AP test, Scholarship, Watergate project (and thankfully GLEE!)
Wednesday: Same as above, but I have to go to a meeting at 7 instead of working like I usually get to.
Thursday: Psych-Night. All my college psych homework is due, and Watergate is due Friday as well as a Scholarship.
Friday: Up at 4 for the ROYAL WEDDING!! (: I am so excited!! I love weddings and I am thrilled I get to experience a royal wedding like Charles and Diana's. Then I'll suffer through school and come home and pass out. Hopefully, I get some work done too.
Saturday&Sunday: Scholarships out the Wazoo (due Monday), Persuasive speech (due Monday), study for AP test, Math Homework, interview a Mulvane resident who knew Dr. Cobb (anyone know anybody?) and anything else that pops up between now and then.
Monday: Scholarships that are due that week, Study for AP test, give Persuasive Speech
Tuesday: STUDYING FOR AP TEST!!!
Wednesday: You guessed it... AP Test @ 8 am. Thankfully, I am not obligated to go back to school after this.. however, I may go commandeer the library to get some scholarships done.

This is the next week of my life... and I am not looking forward to any of it. I reallllly wish Graduation would get here and this summer would pass quickly. Once I am able just to focus on one school (instead of three) and do things that I actually want and am excited to do (umm busy work anyone? no thanks) I think I'll be much happier. 5 classes instead of 9?! You bet! Classes I can leave if we aren't doing anything?! Yes, Please!

In some good news, I found these last night when I was snooping to see if I won a scholarship or not.... It's not up yet, but this will do :)

Also, thank you to Jessica for giving me a new song :) I know I keep stealing yours (lol how ironic) and it did make me cry... but I love it. Thank you <3

I can't believe its almost May already. I am so ready to finish this chapter of my life and move to Lawrence to begin my next (:

Wish me luck <3

Senior Prom 2011 ♥

So, my Prom story begins four years ago in the middle of Freshmen year. James and I were dating in October and he had asked me to the Winter Dance. I said, "So, since I'm on a roll, why don't you be my prom date? lol" He said yes and I had just killed two birds with one stone.. or so I had thought. James and I broke up and didn't end up going to the dance together. But, moral of the story is that he has ended up keeping his promise :) Better late then never.

Here is my Saturday timeline with a few pictures along the way. For more pictures, see my facebook.

Saturday- THE BIG DAY

8:30- Wake up and have a bowl of Special K.
8:45-9:20- Shower and prep hair.
9:30- James brings over money.. then probably does nothing for 4 hours... lucky.
10:00- Nails in Derby.
11:00- Pick up flowers at Dillon's; see 400,000 other Mulvanians there.
11:30- 12:30- relax; begin to do make-up.
1:00- hair with Miss Jessica Smith!
2:30- home; getting dressed and glittered :)
3:00- James comes over for pictures here
3:30- We meet everyone downtown at the fountain for pictures.
4:15ish- we leave for RedRock Canyon Grill.
5:00- 6:30- eat and have tons of fun.
6:55- meet James' uncle at his house with the Jeep.
7:15ish- Walk-in!
8:00-11:00 -PROM ♥
11:10-11:45- go home and change for After Prom; James goes and takes a nap.
(Sunday)
12:00-2:40- After Prom.
3:00- 3:45- Breakfast at Brandon's.
4:00 AM- Sleep.

It was an amazing prom. There was not one thing I would change about it. The decorations were AMAZING, thank you Juniors, my dress fit!!! (thank god), my hair looked fantastic (thank you Jessica!), and I had the best date I could've asked for. He hates pictures and dancing (and for that matter, sometimes people), but he stuck it out and smiled and danced for three hours with me and (I think) had a good time.
I love you, James! <3

We like to make fun of and make faces at each other :P

Typical :)

At the end of the dance, the last song played was Two is Better then One and all the seniors got in a big circle and swayed together and I immediately teared up. It was hard to realize this was the last time we'd all be together (even if I can't stand half of them) before graduation. Of course, once I saw Katie cry, that was that. We stood there and hugged and cried until people started looking at us funny. Then on the way home, James and I were talking and I started hysterically crying again! Who knew Prom was so emotional...  But I do love and care for many of the people at MHS and I will miss them so much when I leave... <3

Again.. typical. (:

I have gone to four dances with these girls :) love you <3

bff's (:

After Prom.. oh lord where do I begin. First of all, Rylee played amazingly as always and it was very fun and entertaining, thats for sure. However, I didn't win ANYTHING FOR THE FOURTH STRAIGHT YEAR! it sucks... knowing I can never play the lottery and win because I can't even win a drawing with a 1 out of 50 chance, let alone 50 thousand or more.

Sitting around after prom EATING!

Breakfast at Brandon's was awesome. Pancakes, bacon, muffins.. and after not eating for two days, I was hungry! Once everyone left, it was just me, Katie, Brandon, and James. We all kinda just sat there exhausted and full.. I fell asleep on James and ended up going home a little before 4. What a Day!! But again, I wouldn't trade it for anything. I'll prob be posting pics for forever as I get them in. And there will be a video soon!

(PS- I finally got to see my GLEE! So I am a happy camper until Tuesday! And Royal Wedding on Friday!? WAYYYY Too Excited!!)

I laughed a lot that night!
At dinner. Again.. faces :)

GORGEOUS!! (:

We love shoe pics :)

again..typical. :)

my date (:

flawless (:
(: i am going to miss this

this too (:

Big News!!

Even though I'm supposed to keep this a secret, I just can't. I am way too excited!!!

I was accepted as a Junior Counselor for StuCo Camp!!!!!

They only pick 16 of us out of the entire state and since they don't pay us a salary, it's all considered volunteer work! And Mrs. Woods said I am the first from MHS to go back as a JC for as long as she can remember!!! But that means little to me. I loved StuCo camp this summer and I am so excited to go back and help others the way my JC, SC and council members helped me. I knew by the end of the first day there I wanted to come back as a JC. It was an amazing experience, like my two summers at KAY camp, that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world. Those memories are definitely in my top five. As you can see...

Most of the Council N Ladies. I love these girls sooo much!

We took a LOT of group pics :)

Fun with boxes.. we were so easily ammused!!

Amanda :) and Cameron! lol

My Secret Service!! I was elected president of my council and these were four of my five protectors :')

My pizza pals and my two best girlfriends from camp. Cara and Mandy whom I miss sooo much!

We clean up nice! ;)

Gorgeous!!

My favorite group picture.. and on Max's 16th Birthday!!
...I had the time of my life. It will be so hard going back after Earl's death and getting a new council, but I am ready for the challenge and the rare opprotunity that's been given to me. Our last night there, Earl told us he was dying and I just remember holding Max and Cara's hands and crying (at the time) harder then I ever had in my entire life. I was not rady to leave this place I felt such a pull to. These kids didn't know me well, yet, they believed in me and trusted me and befriended me... I will never forget that. :)

Blazing Golden Sun Nuggets!!!!! (:

Max and Earl :) He was an amazing person.

My WONDEFUL JC Eric!! I can't wait to see you at KU!

My Amazing Roomie Rosalynn!! Love her!

My Fantastic Floor Counselor Saraya! She was sooo much fun!

Time Really Doesn't Stop...

It has been a BEAUTIFUL few days in Kansas. Aside from the few torrential thunderstorms and extreme April heat.. It's been amazing. We had class outside a lot on Friday and Jess and I walked around during lunch. Aside from what most native Kansans say, I love it here. I would live here my whole life and LOVE it (yeah, and I say that because its not winter haha). But usually the only people I can find that like it here are people who moved here from somewhere else (Except for Tyler and my mom lol).

I found out we are donating $2000 to the Ronald McDonald from Mr. Wildcat and Crush Bottle proceeds. I was thrillllllled :D Like I've said many times, I love this charity and if anyone ever gets a chance to donate to them or volunteer at a house, DO IT! They are so nice and fun to be around and it's a great place to volunteer. Last night, I baked for them to help get my five college hours. Yes, I love baking, but this was for a good cause. (: I volunteered at the Midtown House this morning for about 3 hours and guess what?! I got to drive up there BY MYSELF!!! It was such a rush. I wasn't nervous at all leaving my house (after I put my contacts in.. Stupid stye..) but when I was on K-15, I started getting nervous because I couldn't for the life of me picture the stinkin' canal route entrance. If I can picture something, I can practice it in my head (cheers and dances come easy to me this way). But I had a mini panic attack because of I couldn't picture it!! Once I saw it, however, I was fine and the whole trip was a breeze. I love the canal route now :) Just like driving on the turnpike, once I do it once, we are best friends forever. (:

Erynn and I baked 4 cakes (White, Strawberry, and two German Chocolate), frosted two of them, and baked 25 cookies (four are still in the oven here) in about 75 min.. go us!
After we baked we went out to eat with my grandparents at Olive Garden. As we are leaving, the sky looks like it's about to throw up on the world, so we stop at Barnes & Noble to wait it out (if you know me, you're going "Oh lord... B&N." You would be correct ;) ) Barnes & Noble is my favorite place on earth.. I could spend days in there. I usually find a book, and sit in the middle of the isle and read it. (: It's pretty humorous. As we are leaving, we run into heavy, heavy rain. Shoulda stayed longer :( Lol Derby didn't really get hit bad, but Mulvane got a nasty hail storm.

Erynn and I at dinner. She was fixing my hair. (:
Hail outside my house.
Today after I volunteered at the RMH, James and I went to Best Buy so he could get a new iPod... I almost cried. I cannot wait to get mine fixed. I have found so much music these past two weeks that it's almost killing me. You know what else is killing me? The fact that I'm supposed to be in Colorado right now. Skiing. I'm still mad.

Moving on, I'd like to thank my Denmark supporters who look at my blog all the time!! I'm grateful certain people in the United States are interested in what I have to say, let alone Denmark! I hope I stay interesting enough for all these people to look at my blog, lol!

At school for the past week, I have been taking my lunch to school. I love it. I don't know why I  have been eating crappy school food my whole life when I could have a PB&J or Pasta or Chicken Alfredo... It's been fabulous. I'll eat healthier my last six weeks of school, then I ever did the other 13 years! Which I cannot believe is ending in 41 days... some days that makes me want to run to the bathroom and throw up, and others it's the greatest thing on earth! It just depends on my mood... I remembered something Ms. Gowdy used to say at track practices in 8th grade the other day..

"You are racing against time. Not the girl who may have gotten an A on a test and is having a great day, or the girl whose boyfriend broke up with her earlier. You are racing against time. Time Won't Change. Time Won't Stop..."

I wish I had realized that she was right 4 years ago. Granted, I've had an amazing time throughout my high school years, I wouldn't change one thing, and I have no regrets... except wishing it would go by faster. Even on the days that couldn't end fast enough... I wish I would have not tried to speed things up too much... Time goes by fast enough on it's own without my hurrying it along.

Prom this weekend! Pics soon! (:

April Showers bring May... Graduations?!

So April has started off fan-freakin-tastic. (: I mean that too.

Friday, April 1st- PowderPuff Football

The powderpuff game was pretty fun. I got to hang out with Katie and Shy, and I found out I do really like football... I just don't like certain people who ruin it for everyone. Oh well, I'm sure KU has a PowderPuff league or something similar lol. Maybe I can even find one that's tackle football... :D Flag football is definitely harder then tackle football...a flag is way smaller and harder to grab then a leg. But it was a good experience and I did enjoy it for the most part... mainly because I had the first defensive flag pull ;)

Right after I pulled Kellyn's flag!

Katie and I on the Defensive Line :)

The whole team and coaches.

These girls made it fun :)

Saturday, April 2nd- Mr. Wildcat Pageant

Saturday started with going to the mall with James to rent his tux for prom. We lapped the mall probably about 5 times just walking, making fun of people, making fun of each other and their shopping habits... etc. Then I came home and got ready for the Mr. Wildcat Pageant rehearsal and such... but as soon as I got to the high school... Chris McDaniel needed me to do his music and his computer didn't have the burning program mine does.... go figure. So I'm running back and forth all afternoon between home (Internet) and school (where I'm supposed to be). We ended up getting it fine and I felt like a computer geek, but it was all worth it (: I had so much fun with my other escorts! This was the best group ever and we all got along great and just had a blast with the guys.

Escorts :)
Rylee :) He's definitely a winner in my book :)

No Shoes...
But very fun :)
Congrats Jon! :)

I even got to speak after my video for the Ronald McDonald House Charities!! It was short, but so much fun and I got a lot of complements for it... I am just happy I got to speak to my biggest crowd... for now ;) practice makes perfect.. :D

Sunday, April 3rd - Lawrence and Honors Reception

So way back in the day...like October.... I was accepted into the University of Kansas Honors Program. (Honors Program Blog)  This past Sunday, they invited a bunch of us who had been accepted into the program already to meet other students, professors and directors. I've met some of them many times so it's nice to see some familiar faces in such a new environment. I am verrrrrry excited to be a part of the honors program and all that it has to offer.... especially the undergraduate research. I have so many ideas floating through my head... Protein S deficiency studies... genetic studies... psychological studies... my list is endless. And so are my opportunities. (: Later, my mom and I went on a walk around campus...did we know it would turn into a two hour "We-won't-get-lost!" kinda trip?...no. But it did anyways. (: I also took well into 100 pictures... the full album with edited pictures are on facebook, but my favorites are below (: While we stayed the night on campus, a HUGE thunder/hail/lightning/rain storm blew through. It was intense. I guess its true what they saw about April Showers...

Strong Hall :)

Jayhawk outside of Union :)

Union!

Outside of practice fields:)

On the side of my hotel.

The... I forget... lol

Oread from a distance (:

Stadium (:
McCollum Hall!! :) and i didn't alter this at all :)

Monday, April 4th- Scholars Day

This day would mark the 4th time I've been to campus...and it was completely different then any other time I've seen it. We went to the science hall (Mallott), saw millions of dollars worth of lab equipment, I got to (correctly) answer a question in a Micro Lab, we went into a real organic chemistry class, we toured the new Pharmacy building (I may be changing my KU graduate program lol.. this building was amazing!!!), and we sat basically one on one with honors students who were in our boat just a few years ago... it was so worth it and so memorable. (: Rock Chalk! <3

It's right down the road from my dorm :)

School of Pharmacy (:
Tuesday, April 5th- Mulvane High School

Ugh. Back to school... definitely not as fun as Lawrence. I survived however, came home, worked out for a few hours, ate dinner, went tanning and watched Glee!! (: My evening has been made and I am happy... I even got my family to watch it with me... I think Erynn and Mom might be coming around... ;) Maybe... ;)
Schedule this week is fairly light, I just have lots to do in a wide open time frame... a little unusual for me but hey... that's college life! ;)
