Day 10 - A picture of the person you do the most messed up things with.

Katie Wall. Who else whould buy the exact same dress as me?! Lol this girl always puts a smile on my face no matter what. We have had some pretty awesome mini road trips and conversations and vacations together. Plus, she always seems to be around when I make those discoveries we all laugh hysterically about years later.


I miss Katie everyday. And even though we are apart.. I am sure we are still doing crazy stuff! Haha especially since today is her 19th BIRTHDAY!! Happy Birthday Love!

Day 9

Day 09 - A picture of the person who has gotten you through the most.

This chick is probably my soul mate. I love her to death and even though we've only been super tight for a few months, we've been together for years. Sitting in her carafter cheer practice for an hour telling stories, staying up until ungodly hours crying together, Skyping each other every night to recap the day, laying on my bed watching Dawson's Creek until our eyes hurt from crying so much, shopping shoping shoping, our jokes, Advisory time, and the pictures... she's been with me through some of the toughest months ever... the good, and the bad.

Day 8

Day 08 - A picture that makes you laugh.

This picture def makes me LOL. We had such a fun night that night and it was the best thing for me. I will never forget this particular girls night because I still get reminded about it from Jess. "You sent me home two hours early!!!!" Lol ;)

Still makes me laugh.. :) but I definitely have a funnier one.

Similar in nature.. but a little more violent I'd say ;) I can't wait until Spring comes so I can take more pictures with the fountain :)

How to Succeed in College While Trying VERY Hard...

I love being back in school. Don't get me wrong, I love being home.

But here I get a second chance of fixing what, I believe, I messed up first semester. Many people tell me that I did fine for a first semester college student coming from a 4A high school to a 4 year university. But I don't think that's an excuse and I don't intend to use it as one. I intend to use last semester's performance as a motivator and a wake-up call that I desperately needed.

So far, I am right on track. (: I'm doing well in my classes (89 on a Calc2 test, and 84 on Chem188!) and I'm sleeping a lot more! I'm also finally exploring the KC area and getting really active in the KU community.

Mat Kearney

A couple weeks ago, I took Claire to her first concert! It was Mat Kearney (Nothing Left to Lose, Breathe In, Breathe Out) at the Beaumont Club in KC. It was amazing!! He was funny, walked through the audience and had a guitarist that looked like a dream... and he was only 21 ;) The only bad thing was they didn't have a meet and greet... Shame. ;)

Best Friend's Day

It's really a shame Greek Life can't be the same everywhere. Because if KU Greek Life was like Emporia Greek Life, then I would totally be a sorority girl! I went to visit Amanda and Levi at ESU for the Tri-Sig's Best Friend Day! It was a scavenger hunt where the Tri-Sig's had their best friend come up for the day and make some awesome memories. After, I decided to stay the night in Emporia since it had been so long since I had seen my Emporia friends... I even got to see Brogy! It was a great weekend becasuse the night before, Jessica, Kenton and I went to see Star Wars 3D... It blew my mind. 'Nuff Said. :)

Just Another Night Out

This weekend, Juli, Robert, and Reed and I went to see This Means War... Best movie ever! Juli and I were pretty much having a contest with the old ladies down in front who could laugh the loudest and catch the most dirty jokes. If you want to go see this movie... Do it. You won't regret it (:

Also since I've been back, Claire and I have been destroying my movie collection going through about five a week. I am pleased to say that I haven't picked one out she hasn't liked yet!

I learned a lot here my first semester (and a bit of the second). But nothing more important then the fact that I am not perfect. I will never succeed at everything, and it's high time I learned to fail. Over break, I had several talks with several people about what I was doing wrong... and one stood out to me.

One friend told me that yeah, this is a transition year.. and yeah, it's hard... but now that I've slightly got my foot in the door, it's time to be a big girl and learn from my failures here. He said that I have so much drive and passion for what I am doing, I shouldn't let my doubts and fears get in the way. And I refuse to give up. I know what it's like to fight for something you want and I intend to do so... This semester is still a learning semester, and so will the next two...

But just know, I am definitely trying. <3

Day 7

Day 07-  A picture of your most treasured item.

I had to pick three. I love my phone, laptop, and iPod equally. If I didn't have my three companions, I would be so lost. they keep me in the loop and in tough with everyone whenever I need them. (:

Still love my iPod (post Break), and I'm very thrilled to welcome my iPad and my MacBook Pro to the Apple family!! I am now and forever a Mac Product junkie, and I can't wait to someday include and iPhone into the mix!

Day 6

Day 06- A picture of a person you'd love to trade places with for a day.

I would totally trade places with her for a dat. She is beautiful and smart and funny and is 5'2". (:

She's rich and powerful in the biz too. And she's met and made out with Patrick Dempsey, Jake Gyllenhaal, Josh Lucas, and Rob Pattinson.

Oh and she kept all the outfits from Legally Blonde 1 and 2.

YEAH!! (:

Now, No Change. What-so-ever. She is still amazing and Sweet Home Alabama is still the best movie ever.

UPDATE 2-20-12: This Means War is the best movie ever and Chris Pine and Tom Hardy are two of the sexiest men ever and she is still.. the luckiest chick ever. That is all.

Day 5

Day 05- A picture of your favorite memory.

I have a billion favorite memories. Duh. But I love this memory of going to Eclipse at midnight. We went to Quick Trip first to get monsters then we get to the theater and its PACKED! We were so afraid we were gonna get separated or not get a good seat.... We ended up making a good decision and going to the back of the line to get into the second theater first. We were like the first people in there and got awesome seats! And it was a greet movie! (:

Now, I still have a billion favorite memories... and many of those memories don't have pictures. But if I had to chose, I would say it would be moving into college... It was scary, and nerve-wracking, but very very exciting. (:
